I’m SO excited to offer this Nashville Ballet Nutcracker ticket giveaway for you all!
My daughter has performed in Nashville’s Nutcracker with the Nashville Ballet as a Garden Fairy twice, so I asked if I could do something special for my readers…
They answered in a big way!
One reader will win a family 4-pack of tickets for this year’s Nashville’s Nutcracker!
And the beautiful thing about this?
You’ll win four ticket vouchers which can be used at ANY 2017 Nashville’s Nutcracker performance. And if you have more members of your family that you want to share in this Nashville holiday tradition with you, you can easily purchase more tickets so that you can all sit together.
This year’s 2017 Nashville’s Nutcracker will run from December 2-23, 2017.
Along with 50 members of the professional dance company, the production includes over 100 young dancers from School of Nashville Ballet and the community at large performing with The Nashville Symphony.
With as many times as we’ve seen Nashville Ballet’s Nashville Nutcracker, you’d think the show would get old; that’s simply not the case. Even if they never changed a thing, I would go year after year! But this year, there are two new additions in particular that brought a huge smile to my face: snow that falls upon the audience and the addition of the dancing bear cavalry. Look how adorable they are:
Another moment that makes me gasp and brings chills to my spine every time I see it is when the Christmas tree grows before our eyes and the lights appear in all their glory:
Of course, no production of the Nutcracker would be complete without the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. While I have practically every move memorized in my head, I still have no idea how these amazing principal dancers do what they do night after night:
The same goes for the Snake Lady & Snake Charmer. The beautiful contortions she does with her body, perfectly synchronized with the music and complimented by the strength of the Snake Charmer, draws audible gasps from the audience each performance:
While my daughter wasn’t in this year’s cast (once you’re 13, you need to be a Nashville Ballet student to audition to be part of the Youth Cast), this beautiful photo showcases the Garden Fairies of which she was a part when she performed:
Before the Intermission, the Snow Queen dazzled us and ushered Clara into a beautiful Christmas dream surrounded by the Snow King and her beautiful Snowflakes:
But nothing brings me quite as much joy as the finale when so many of the marvelous dancers come back together on stage to create this picturesque scene:
I hope this gives you just a glimpse of the majesty that is Nashville’s Nutcracker. I started bringing my daughter when she was just 5 years old and the magic is still alive. Likewise, we’ve brought every grandparent at one point over the years as they’ve visited us here, and they too have remarked that it was unlike any production of the Nutcracker they’ve ever seen.
So, are you ready to experience it for yourself? Enter to win via the Rafflecopter widget below:

I’ve never seen it before, so I don’t have a favorite scene. This would be an amazing surprise for my wife if I were to win the contest, though. She loves ballet and theater.
Oooh I’d love to surprise my kids with this as birthday gifts! ❤️?
My dad first took me to see The Nutcracker when I was a child and I’ve gone several times since then.
I haven’t seen the Nutcracker since I was a child, it was at TPAC. My favorite scene was the Sugar Plum Fairy, although I can barely remember it! 🙂
I have never seen the nutcracker
I’ve never seen the Nutcracker live. Would be great! Thanks!
My fav scene is the Christmas Eve party!
Favorite scene is when the nutcracker and she first meet!
