I was first introduced to Freschetta pizza when they hosted an evening at the Blissdom Conference a few months ago. I have to admit, it can’t be easy to feed a mob of five hundred hungry women and yet they took on the task brilliantly. Unfortunately, I wasn’t overly thrilled with their pizza. The crust was a bit thick for me and the toppings were pedestrian.

So when I was contacted to review their new Freschetta By The Slice, I was hesitant. However, being eternally optimistic, I wanted to give these lovely people a second chance….and am I glad I did.

Not only is the new Freschetta By The Slice convenient, cooking in just 4 minutes, but  it also features a thinner crust with very fresh and original toppings. Varieties include:
*BBQ Recipe Chicken
*Vegetable Medley
*Six Cheese Medley
*Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom

I’m particularly partial to that last one, but to be honest, they’re all quite tasty. I’m not a fan of the olives on the Vegetable Medley pizza, but then again, I’m not a fan of olives on anything!

I feel like Freschetta really got it right with this, but most of all, I feel like they really had me in mind. Not that there’s anything wrong with a pepperoni pizza now and then, but show mama a variety of cheeses, some specialty toppings and a nice crust and I’ll show you a happy mama!
