As I made notes in my Bible this morning, I couldn’t believe our family is now heading into week 6 of quarantine…

IN THE WORD:
The fact that something doesn’t matter much to you may mean that it matters a great deal to God ~ Oswald Chambers
IN MY LIFE:
I had to count and re-count multiple times this morning as I was trying to figure out just how long our family has been quarantined: 5 weeks!
We started by cancelling one spring break trip, and then another. And on March 26, at the advice of some doctor friends, we made one huge shopping trip and started our safer-at-home journey.
It’s hard to believe we’ve been at this for 5 weeks now and yet, in some ways, the time has flown by. I know it seems like things may never return to ’normal’ and yet history dictates it most certainly will at some point.
So as I hear more and more about how we’re looking into “reopening” the country, I’m staying the course while reflecting on what I wouldn’t want to change about these past 5 weeks at home.
I appreciate the slower pace, family-time, new recipes, organization projects, and outdoor-time we’ve been able to enjoy. What about you?
Freebies:
I also just learned that MyPanera members can get a free bagel every day this week. And Taco Bell will also be offering their free Doritos Loco taco tomorrow again.
PRAYER FOCUS: Compassion
I pray each of you are compassionate towards others, especially when we often don’t have the privilege of receiving someone’s full story.
