Last year, the Nashville Ballet also invited children ages 8-12 years old to audition for this year’s performance of Nashville’s Nutcracker. This is the only opportunity the general public will have to perform on stage with Nashville Ballet’s company and second company members this season.
Kariss tried out last year and made the cast as a Garden Fairy! There is a minimal cost to be a part of the cast (I believe it was $35) and the experience was one we’ll never forget.
This year’s 2020 Nashville Ballet Nutcracker will air on December 18 at 7 p.m. on NewsChannel 5 WTVF. The performances will also be available on the NewsChannel 5 app that can be found on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire.
Plus, encore performances will air on Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. on NewsChannel 5+ and Dec. 25 at 3 p.m. on NewsChannel 5 WTVF.
In the past, along with 44 members of the professional dance company and second company, the production included almost 180 young dancers from School of Nashville Ballet and the community at large performing with The Nashville Symphony.
