The Daily Dash: December 31 2014 {New Year’s Eve}

IN THE NEWS:
* Large object detected in sea (from AirAsia crash)
* BBC pulls controversial Royals’ documentary
* 2 year old accidentally shoots & kills mother in Walmart
* Brutal cold for NYE festivities

IN MY LIFE:
* LOVING: Our 2015 Cheekwood membership. You should know by now that I’m a BIG proponent of giving experiences as gifts and our kids have mentioned repeatedly that they’ve missed going to Cheekwood since they’re no longer part of the Museums on Us program, so they were THRILLED to hear that we’re now members of Cheekwood for 2015.

* LEARNING: “Decisions and discipline: character and perseverance determine what happens after the decision is made”.  As I’ve been reading through Exodus and the Ten Commandments wondering about all the “rules” of religion, I’m reminded that I don’t need to be worried as much about they were being asked to do as much as the attitude of obedience God is asking us to have.

* DOING: Leaving for a cabin in Dollywood today to get away for a few days with friends! Stay tuned to the Daily Dash this week to keep up with all our activities (and lack of activity 🙂
