Tax Free Weekends

August 1, 2014: Tax Free Weekends

Wondering about the best time to buy school supplies? I’ll tell you about one weekend that’s better than any other…

Starting today in my home state, we’re celebrating tax free weekend. That means that any clothing, school or art supply under $100 per item AND computers under $1,500 can be purchased free of tax!

And this isn’t limited to shopping in-store; it also applies to eligible purchases made by phone, internet, or mail. The best news? Even if you don’t have kids in school, you can still save on any such purchases for yourself.

So no matter where you live, tax-free holiday season is starting NOW, so check with your local government for full details.
