The Home Depot free Kids workshops are such a big hit, not only in our family, but for everyone looking to get the kids out for some hands-on, free fun! These occur on the first Saturday of every month from 9a-12p.

Home Depot Free Kids’ Workshop Schedule  for 2013:

*June 1, 2013
*July 6, 2013
*August 3, 2013
*September 7, 2013
*October 5, 2013
*November 2, 2013
*December 7, 2013
The Home Depot FREE Kids’ Workshops usually center around whatever holidays are happening that month and let kids build (and often paint) things like cars, napkin holders, games & more. Every participant also gets a certificate, orange apron, pin and treats when they complete the project!

Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Family Program: Make Letterpress Art with Hatch Show Print.
Learn about letterpress printing from Hatch Show Print. Use block images to make your own holiday card or T-shirt. Paper provided. Participants should bring their own T-shirts. For ages 6 to 18. Takes place at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s SunTrust Community Room. Free. Families are encouraged to tour the museum at a discounted rate following the program. Visit the information desk or ticket window for more information.

Lowe’s Build & Grow Workshop August 2012

Looking for the  Lowe’s Build & Grow Free Kids Workshop dates for August 2012?

On August 25, 2012 from 10-11am & August 26, 2012 from 2-3pm, kids can build a free project at Lowe’s.

They have made a new website and say that the “clinics are free, but online registration is required”. I don’t know how much they will keep to this policy, but even if you do register, you need to get there early because once they run out of kits, they’re done!

They are still designing their crafts around DreamWorks projects, so this month you will see Shrek’s Onion Carriage:

Lowe’s Build & Grow Workshop July 2012

There is another Lowe’s Build & Grow Free Kids Workshop coming up this Saturday & Sunday from 10-11am.

On July 14-15, 2012 from 10-11am, kids can build a Kung Fu Panda spinning attack from the movie “King Fu Panda 2″ at Lowe’s.

The next set of Lowe’s Build & Grow workshops will be held July 28-29, 2012.

They have made a new website and say that the “clinics are free, but online registration is required”. I don’t know how much they will keep to this policy, but even if you do register, you need to get there early because once they run out of kits, they’re done!

It looks like the Build & Grow workshops for the entire month of July will be Kung Fu Panda 2 themed, and you can also choose either Saturday or Sunday workshops on the weekends they’re offered.
