May 25, 2015: Memorial Day Savings Tips

Happy Memorial Day! Wondering how to have fun without blowing your grocery budget today? I’m here to help!

Let’s face it, Memorial Day is seen as the unofficial start to summer, which means many of us will be gathering around pools and backyards with friends and family to celebrate…which also means there will be a bounty of food, drinks and supplies.

Even if you’re hosting a celebration, don’t be afraid to ask guests to bring a dish to share or even paper goods to eat on. Of course, if you’re attending a gathering, make sure to ask the host how you can help. And always stay away from the store end-caps when you’re shopping; those are the items the store wants you to buy and may in fact distract you from the best possible deal.
