Kids Savings Lists Family Money Minute

July 2, 2014: Kids Savings Lists

Do your kids constantly ask you for something new every time you go somewhere?

It seems like every time we go into a store, our kids ask for something, whether it’s a toy, food or book.

The best way to get them to stop asking for things is to make a savings list. Have a list at home where your kids actually write down what they’re saving for.

Another rule we have is our kids can never buy what they see the first time they see it. Giving them a little bit of this self-control helps them not to spend their money foolishly or frivolously.
