May 28, 2015: Homemade Lemon Vinegar

I’ve just discovered the best all-purpose AND all natural cleaning solution, but the best part is you can make it yourself with items that are most likely already in your home!

I use lemon a lot in the kitchen and even though I compost, I was starting to feel like I was wasting those used lemon peels. So after a little research, I found an easy solution that has turned into one of my favorite household products.

All I did was begin tossing those used lemons into a large glass mason jar and then filled it with white vinegar. It sat on my kitchen’s window sill for about two weeks and after that, I combined it with an equal part of warm water in a spray bottle to clean almost any household surface, including glass! Now I continue to keep adding lemon peels and vinegar as I use it and I never run out of this powerful yet natural cleaner.
